Recent Works  2007- present 

Some of these pieces were begun in June of 2007 and are being completed with color and glazes one at a time, in between my teaching responsibilities. They're a continuing exploration of the vessel as sculptural form, both architectural and figurative. Summer break tends to be the time I concentrate on my art without distractions and focus as is required.

 

           

         

         

 

For the past several years I have been working on a series of vessel forms that I think of as sculptures first, and vessels second. They are not functional vessels, but are, to me a way to create sculpture which honors the longstanding vessel tradition in ceramics. They're vessels, with architectural and figurative qualities.
