Below are some examples of tiles I have begun work on. They are still in progress. They're done on a white earthenware clay using a process called sgraffito (involves laying a coat of dark underglaze on the surface and scratching or incising the image through the underglaze to reveal the white clay body beneath). I have recently been made aware of the opprtunity to exhibit tiles and have taken it upon myself to create a body of work toward this end. I will soon be posting images of the finished pieces.
